An oil painting on canvas titled Chloe. 76…(something in the way) by Roderick Bunter (Australian, b. 1970), executed in September of 2005. Depicted is a green-tinted black and white portrait of a woman with a brilliant smile and soft eyes. Sgraffito lines help define her jet black hair. A greyhound symbol appears to the lower right in paint. To the verso is an inscription by the artist. The work remains unframed.
Roderick Bunter was born in 1970 in Australia and graduated from the Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 1990 and his Masters of Visual Arts in 2010. He was the recipient of the Melville Haysom Scholarship and The Churchie Emerging Art Prize. In most recent yeas Bunter has exhibited with Gallery Schubert, Helen Gory Galleries and Richard Martin Art and his work can be found in private and public collections throughout Australia and the rest of the world.
