"Jumeau" and "Bru" From Best Loved Dolls Series

A group of two dolls from Georgetown Collection’s ‘Best Loved Dolls’ series. Both are hand painted, miniature reproductions of classic French dolls. ’Jumeau’is dressed in peach lace with delicate ribbons. ‘Bru’ has been called the doll of ‘a thousand and one faces’, and personified the feminine perfection and the height of fashion of the period she represents. Both have porcelain bodies and molded hair, and are in their original boxes.
