Two Rookwood First Edition Commemorative Tiles With Ornament
Item Details
A pairing of Rookwood Pottery commemorative tiles with a Christmas ornament. A Rookwood Commemorative Collection 1st edition tile of the Carew Tower was designed by Rookwood artist Gary Simon. It is dated 2010, numbered 10057, and finished in a soft orange matte glaze. A Commemorative Collection 1st edition tile depicts the Cincinnati skyline. It is dated 2011, numbered 10081, and finished in a muted blue matte glaze. The final verse from a poem titled “Catawba Wine” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow is printed to the verso. A Rookwood pinecone vase ornament in a red gloss glaze is also included.
