An oil painting on canvas board of a figural landscape by well-listed German artist Carl Zopf (1858 – 1944), created during the early 20th century. This peaceful scene features a young nude woman along the edge of a grassy riverbank. Hills are silhouetted against a colorful sky in the distant background. The artist’s signature, date, and additional illegible handwriting is present to the lower right. The work is presented in an ornate gilt and gesso frame with a high-relief decorative pattern.

- blacklight reveals handwriting above signature that reads “SSO 9DY”; small chips throughout frame; wear in frame includes scratches, stains, spots of gilt loss and discoloration throughout; stains present throughout verso.
