Gothic Revival Style Mahogany Wall Mirror and Console

Item Details

A Gothic Revival style mahogany wall mirror and console, dating to the 20th century. The figured and veneered mirror features an arched crest with geometric and floral tracery and two carved (removable) cathedral-like spires topping the twisted columns. Adorning the top of the frame are several carved leafy scrolls and, set at the apex of the arch, is a carved (removable) floral finial. The mirrored glass is ‘wavey’, suggesting some age. The back of the mirror is marked, ‘Made in Italy’. The wood console is a separate piece to be mounted below the mirror and it is heavily detailed with wood tracery and finials. A small light is mounted to the bottom of the console for downward illumination. A label in the German language is also found on the underside.

  • Please note, this is an item that may be especially difficult to move and/or transport. Unless shipping arrangements are available and made by the winning bidder, that individual is advised to bring, appropriate assistance, vehicle, proper materials, and any necessary tools to pickup.
