An artist’s proof lithograph on paper titled Ecce Hommo by Italian-American artist Umberto Romano (1905-1984). This piece depicts Christ before the crucifixion in tattered clothes and a crown of thorns with his wrists bound by rope. He is standing over a monk who cowers away from him, grimacing. It is titled to graphite to the lower left corner margin, signed to the lower right, and marked as an artist’s proof in an edition of 100. Also inscribed in the lower margin is a personal dedication and the date ‘Dec. 2, 1975’. The piece is presented behind a mat and glass in a silver tone painted frame that is wired for hanging.

- wear to frame finish, most notable to lower left and along bottom; slight tears to paper on verso
