Wallace Nutting Hand-Tinted Photographs

A collection of four hand-tinted photographs by American minister and artist Wallace Nutting (1861-1941). These works, lightly colored in pinks and greens, depict flower-covered trees, one a panorama titled Spring Fashions, a forest path, and a woman standing before a brick hearth. Each print is signed in ink to the lower right margin, and is matted against off-white backings under glass, in slim frames, three with hanging hardware.
Condition
- toning and foxing due to age on all photographs and mats; water stains to prints and matting of “Spring Fashions” and photograph of woman; wear to all frames; one frame splitting at corners with debris under glass, along with signs of water damage.
