Item Details
A handwoven tapestry of a music salon. This piece depicts a group of Regency-era French aristocrats gathered around a young boy playing the piano. It is finished with a border of scrolling foliates. The piece is stamped ‘Made in France’ to the verso and hangs from a brass tone bar with attached fabric loops.
Condition
- fraying to selveges; damage to lower right corner; multiple loose threads; stains to lower left; colors have faded somewhat.
