19th Century George Watts Engraved Sterling Silver Scent Bottle in Original Box
Item Details
A late 19th century sterling silver scent bottle having a delicate all over foliate engraved decoration and hallmarked to have been made in Chester, England with the maker initials GW for G Watts & Co. (George Watts). The starburst cartouche at one side remains un-monogrammed and the velvet lined leather box is fitted. The round cap screws on and off securely. Both the cap and bottle are stamped with hallmarks. The cap features the date mark for 1896 and the bottle for 1897 The total weight is 1.340 ozt.
Condition
- bottle is in good condition with minor tarnishing and surface wear; box is in fair condition with some cracking, scratches and losses to surface.
