An assortment of vintage toy vehicles. This collection features a Dick Tracy squad car produced circa the early 1950s by Marx Toys. This light blue tin litho police car features images of Dick Tracy comic strip characters in the windows, with the detective himself at the wheel; the car body has yellow lettering reading ‘Dick Tracy’, ‘Police Dept’ and ‘Squad Car No. 1’, and smaller black text reading ‘© 1949 F. A. Synd.’, as well as the Marx circle logo. Also included are approximately twenty-five smaller-scale toy and die-cast vehicles, including cars, trucks and construction vehicles; manufacturers include Tootsietoy, Hot Wheels and Auburn.
Condition
- to poor; squad car missing signal light; dents and pitting to metal of squad car; scratches, paint loss and general heavy wear throughout; some small vehicles missing wheels; mechanical components untested.
