An oil painting on canvas of a landscape, signed ‘E. Krüger’. Portrayed with loose painterly brushstrokes, this impressionistic work features a dirt path winding through a landscape populated with leafy trees and flowering foliage. The painting is signed to the lower right, and is presented in an ornate Louis XV style gilt and gesso frame.
Condition
- 1.5" hole present in left central area of sky; dirt stains scattered throughout painting, especially visible in sky; craquelure throughout print; some paint loss present along edges of painting; faint scratches and tears present along upper edge of painting; some wear in frame includes stains, small chips throughout edges, faint scratches, spots of gilt loss throughout; canvas is loose and needs securing in frame.
