A hand-colored engraving on paper titled The Harvest after a painting by Léon Augustin Lhermitte (1844-1925). This scene of rural life depicts a group of peasant laborers harvesting grains. Two women gather bundles of wheat while a man stands between them wiping the sweat from his brow and leaning on his scythe. A label to the verso states the title and original artist of the work. No information is given about the engraver. The piece is presented behind a mat and glass in a gold tone frame that is wired for hanging.
