A vintage Biedermeier style bookcase over secretary cabinet. This unit features contrasting ebonized inlays on a blonde wood field. The unit includes raised decorative pediment crest with finial urns over a crown and inlay veneer molding panel above a collection of open shelving with serpentine cut-out fronts. The bookcase rests onto a beveled top over a drop front panel with veneer inlay and knob pull, above waist molding and a drawer with knob pulls and inlays with scalloped aprons. The drop panel door opens to reveal hidden drawers with diamond inlay fronts and knob pulls. The unit rises up on turned, tapering legs ending in bun feet and includes a scalloped X-stretcher with raised finial urn pediment.
