A Birkin S3 replica kit car of the 1969 Lotus 7. This is the 1980s made Birkin kit that pays homage to the classic 1969 Lotus Super 7 sportscar. The VIN is K1NU1AB1120 and odometer reads 2,293 miles. This model S3 kit car is body style 2D. The vehicle has a 4-cylinder modified Ford 1.6L, DOHC, Zetec inline four engine with a twin 2-barrel carburetor conversion. The transmission is a five-speed manual-shift with hydraulic clutch, and master cylinder for front and rear brakes. Windshield wipers, washer fluid pump, heater, and a spare tire have been added. The vehicle features two black vinyl upholstered seats, a removable steering wheel, 16’ alloy wheels, exposed exhaust system to driver’s side, rag top, racing green fiberglass fenders, and black powder coated steel roll bar. Behind the seats is a black canvas tonneau cover over the rear storage compartment. Caterham, a British manufacturer of specialist lightweight sports cars, bought mold rights for this body and frame from Lotus in 1972, and Birkin later contracted with Caterham to build kits and fully assembled bodies in South Africa.

- in working condition; turn signals do not work, small dent in driver’s side of hood, and small dent in body behind passenger side rear fender. Minor blemishes to aluminum body. Tires are new.
