A hand-knotted Tabriz silk area rug. This area rug has a central star medallion design featuring pale rose and blue tones mixed with ivory and cream tones. It has elaborate spandrels in greens and teal, and cartouches of gazelle imagery. The rug has a detailed compound border with a floral designs featuring light blue, ivory, cream, and rose tones and trefoil floral elements on a black background. The rug has fringe to either end and is unmarked.
