This Impressionist painting depicts a sandy shore overlooking a calm body of water populated with gliding sailboats and a town landscape. To the left edge of the composition is a sign which reads ‘Entering Edgartown’. This painting is signed to the lower right corner, and is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a bronze tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
