A pair of chromolithographs on paper of children including a print by E. H. Hester. One of the prints depicts a mother in Victorian era attire, seated with a child on her lap. It is unmarked and presented behind glass in a gold tone wooden frame. The other print is a portrait of a young blonde girl with blue eyes. This print is signed ‘E.H. Hester’ to the lower right corner and reads ‘London, Published Dec. 1, 1909’ to the lower center margin. It is presented behind glass in a gold tone wooden frame. This selection is ready to hang with metal hanging wire to the versos.
Condition
- wear consistent with age; chips and spotting to both frames, larger print: light wear to print; creasing and buckling; smaller print: significant chips to corners of frame; lower edge is torn; water damage.
