Hungarian Cowhide-Covered Canteen

Item Details

A Hungarian cowhide-covered canteen. The exterior of the flask has been embellished with pieces of red, green, and white leather, some cut into decorative patches, some braided into straps. A carrying strap is attached to the shoulders of the canteen. The stopper, carved of wood, is also attached with a braided strap. Metal discs surround the neck.

decent condition, consistent with age and use, faded, worn areas, buttons are rusted
