Framed Decorative Fan With Hand Painted Scene
Item Details
A framed decorative folding hand fan. The piece features a gouache painting to one side of the folding fan paper. The painted scene depicts five figures in 18th-century French attire, as two men help three women in dresses walk safely across a small stream. The fan is set over a green velvet background and presented under glass in a wooden shadowbox-style frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- to Fair; wear to edges of fan with small holes and tears present; toning and foxing to fan paper; creasing and surface wear to fan; wear and scratching to frame finish; fraying to green velvet at edges.
