Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a farm scene. This Impressionist painting depicts a group of farmers in a rolling field plunging their pitchforks at bundles of hay. One farmer raises his harvest to a woman sitting atop a large pile, which rests on a horse drawn carriage. To the lower right corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature. The painting is presented in a brass tone wooden frame, which is affixed with a lamp to the top leg. To the verso is a protruding power cord and hanging wire. The lamp has been tested and works.
Condition
- paint shows some cracking, small patches of media loss revealing canvas to the lower left corner; lamp tested and works.
