Pile Embroidery of a Crane
Item Details
A framed pile embroidery. This piece depicts a white and brown crane with riverside plants in wool yarn on a black ground fabric. The crane has a plastic bead sewn on for an eye. This piece is presented behind glass in a wood frame that is wired for hanging.
Condition
- significant chipping of the paint on the frame ; wear, tearing, and discoloration to the verso; some tearing to the background of the embroidery, notably along top.
