A signed limited edition etching on paper titled Such Life or Self Portrait by listed Lithuanian graphic artist Marius Liugaila (1953-2013), created in 1995. This surreal scene features a tower crowded with mythical characters, creatures, otherworldly structures. A reference to the Surrealist artist Salvador Dali is visible throughout the composition, including the artist at work that is illustrated at the bottom, with a cracked egg propped above his composition. The work is printed with some gradations of brown to black. It is dated and signed by hand in graphite to the lower right; it is titled and number 14 out of an edition of 47 to the lower left. The artist’s embossed butterfly stamp is present to the lower center. The work is presented behind acrylic glass, with white matting, and housed in a black wood frame. A label from Buffalo Picture Frame is present to the verso.
