An antique Sheraton style walnut, poplar and pine two-drawer writing table. This body of this piece features walnut and poplar, with framed rectangular leather inset top including tooled edging. The top has rounded corners and overhangs apron sides with serpentine apron front including inlay details, flanked by a drawer on each side. The drawers are composed of pine and each include keyhole, wooden knob and hand-cut dovetail joinery. The piece rises up on turned banister legs including ball, ring and vase turnings, ending in blunt arrow feet.
