A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Mashad area rug. This rug features an elaborate central medallion in multi-hues of bright blue, orange, mustard, red and navy atop a red patterned field filled with palmettes and vine-scroll imagery. The major border is accentuated with coinciding palmette and foliate patterns finished with navy selvedge and natural warp fringe. The rug has a tag attached which reads ‘Made in Iran, Hand Woven Carpet and Rugs’.
