Room Sized Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Area Rug

A large room-sized Indo-Persian rug. This Indian-made wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of rust, cornsilk, and camel. It features an allover floral pattern including cartouche shapes bracketed in lancet leaves over a rust-colored field. Framing the field are compound borders including a primary border grounded in cornsilk. Selvedges are overcast, while the top and bottom finish with long ivory warp fringe. The rug is labeled on the reverse; made in India.
