A Chinese gouache and watercolor painting on silk of a garden scene. This painting depicts a woman in a traditional kimono standing at the entrance of a lodge, which is obscured by a large pine tree to the right portion of the composition. She poses pressing a hand-fan to her face, pensively looking outwards. To the lower right corner is a pair of red stamps, possibly denoting the artist. The painting is presented under glass in a black and gold tone wooden frame featuring molded twisted rope patterning. To the verso is affixed hanging wire.
