Item Details
A circa 1969 ink and watercolor illustration on paper by listed Baltimore artist Aaron Sopher (1905 – 1972). The piece, titled Two Women, depicts two elderly women seated at a table in a palette of blue, brown and black against cream. The painting is signed in black ink to the lower right, with an additional signature, title, date and notations written to the frame backing. The work is matted in taupe linen and presented under glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Condition
- light wrinkling to paper inside frame; toning to paper; wear, stains and scratching to frame finish; frame would benefit from cleaning; writing to frame backing.
