Item Details
A mid-century ink wash illustration on paper by listed Baltimore artist Aaron Sopher (1905 – 1972). The drawing, titled Ford’s – Baltimore, depicts a circa 1950s theater scene of patrons at Ford’s Grand Opera House in Baltimore, rendered in a palette of black, grey and brown against cream. The work is signed and titled in black ink to the lower left. It is double matted in off-white and taupe and presented under glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Condition
- significant toning and foxing to paper, with staining to edges; light toning to mat; minor wear and scuffing to frame finish.
