A hand colored lithograph on paper of an original woodblock print titled Les Amours De Frene and Galeran by French artist and engraver Louis Bouquet (1885 – 1952). Originally published in the book published by Henri Jonquières in 1929, the print depicts a pair of figures embracing and seated in a landscape filled with bunnies and plants. The title of the piece and a descriptive surround the main image in french. The print is presented in a stained and carved wood frame with a wire to the verso for hanging purposes.
Condition
- water damage to lower edge and sides; frame has surface wear consistent with age and use.
