A circa 1890 J. Ottman chromolithograph advertising card. The color print advertises Spicers & Peckham Stove Founders of Providence, Rhode Island; it depicts a newsboy running with a paper that reads ‘Extra, Still Ahead, 1st Premium Model Ranges, Stoves, and Parlors’. The card includes bold text to the top and bottom of ‘Geo. H. Gould, 157 Main St., Brockton, Hd’qrs for Housekeeping Goods’. It features the J. Ottman logo in plate to the lower right. The card is set against an off-white paper background and presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame.

Condition

- heavy wear along card edges with creasing and tears to corners, overall wear with small tears to printed surface; toning to card and matting; scratching and wear throughout frame; wear and toning to verso; no hanging hardware present.
