A vintage handwoven Persian Heriz Serapi rug. This handwoven wool pile rug features a crimson colored field decorated with lobed flowers and a cerulean blue central medallion with a crenelated edge. The four corner spandrels are a bright white-color with a crenelated edge , lobed flowers and geometric shapes in shades of peach, crimson, blue, green, and brown.The main border is a crimson color with a carnation meander pattern and it is bracketed by guard borders of crimson and blue. The piece features natural warp fringe to either end.
