An antique hand knotted Persian Malayer Sarouk area rug. This wool rug features a floral center medallion in shades of indigo, blue, peach, cream and rust on a rust colored, lozenge shaped field. The field is bounded by indigo spandrels and surrounded by a principally rust colored major border and floral minor border, and the far ends have close-cropped white cotton fringe. The rug is tagged underneath.
