Item Details

A late 19th century New York State National Guard, 2nd Regiment, dress helmet. This dress helmet features a spike top with shields to each side with stars and stripes and a front shield with the number ‘2’ and ‘Excelsior’. The helmet has a braided cord chin strap attached to the lower shields on each side of the helmet.

Condition

- to poor; leather damaged; eagle emblem missing one wing.
