Antique Wood and Metal Eight Day Mantel Clock

A wood and metal mantel clock. This eight day clock is in an ebonized wood case, has faux marble details, ornate metal handles on two sides, and rests on four corner mounted feet. The front has a round glass and door with gold tone frame over the clock face. The verso has a round door that covers the mechanism and the partial label reads ‘Forestville, Connecticut U.S.A.’

Condition

- surface scratches consistent with use and age, scuffing and chipping to edges, will need winding key, scratching to glass of clock face, yellowing of face, hinge on face cover is loose, unable to test without winding key, a name is written in pencil to the verso, the manufacturing label is deteriorated.
