This drawing on paper depicts two people sitting at a bar on high chairs, one of which is seen smoking while the other turns their head to talk. The composition is rendered with energetic, black linework that is layered to create a loose contour. To the lower left corner of the composition is a handwritten artist signature. The drawing is presented under glass beneath dual-layered matting in a black wooden frame.

- glass could benefit from cleaning; minor wear to frame finish; discoloration and staining to matting; hanging wire to verso broken; large stains and punctures to paper backing.
