An original limited edition large reduction linocut print on Somerset Satin 100% rag fine printmaking paper with deckled edges by contemporary American printmaker Mary Mark, titled View from Orvieto. This unique, time-consuming printmaking practice involves cutting each layer of color from a single linoleum plate, reducing its surface area more and more with each layer of color. This print depicts a sweeping Impressionistic view of the Italian wine country, printed in bold colors. The print is titled and numbered 56/64 in black ink to the lower center margin. Information about the piece and an artist’s biography are visible to the piece’s verso. The print is mounted to white backing, matted in white, and presented behind glass in a blonde wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
