Five Original Mid-19th Century Hand-Colored Botanical Prints

A collection of five mid-19th century hand-colored botanical prints published in varying issues of the publication The Floricultural Cabinet. The collection consists of both aquatint etchings and stone lithographs, and bright hand-coloring was added much later across the prints. The flowers’ identifications are printed in-plate to the lower margin of each. The prints are all matted in white faux wood grain and black and are presented behind glass in composite frames with black and gold tone finishes and hanging wires.
