A signed limited edition offset lithograph after an original painting by well-listed and renowned American wildlife illustrator and naturalist John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati, born 1924), titled White-tailed Deer. The print depicts one of the massive creatures standing in a winter forest along the banks of a small stream. Its gray coat camouflages brilliantly into the scratchy bark of the surrounding trees. The print is signed in-plate to the lower right and its title is printed to the lower center margin. It is signed and numbered 562/1000 in pencil to the lower corners. The print is presented without matting or framing, but is presented in its original folio including a certificate of authenticity.
