Posters Including "Custer's Last Fight" Promotional Print

A pair of posters printed onto paper. Included is a relief print promotional poster for Thomas H. Ince’s 1912 silent film Custer’s Last Fight, printed in dark red ink by Hurd of Harvey in Iowa, reading in part, ‘The Mighty Epic Spectacle of the Old-Time West.’ Also included is Champs of Sports boxing poster, using lithographic and halftone printing techniques to depict the champions of seven different weight classes from throughout the early 20th century. This orange and black poster is marked ‘Worlds Champions and Past Greats of the Prize Ring’ to the center and is presented without hanging hardware. Both prints are presented inside protective plastic sleeves.
Condition
- very slight toning throughout, more noticeable near the edges.
