Chippendale Style Cherry Highboy

Item Details

A Chippendale style cherry highboy. The case features a broken-arch pediment centered by a flame-and-urn finial above three aligned over four machine-dovetailed, long drawers. Directly is a strip of mid-molding above one long and three aligned drawers. The thumbmolded fronts are fitted with brass tone handles with batwing backplates. Five of the drawers have matching escutcheons while the bottom, center drawer is embellished with a carved fan. The highboy rises on cabriole legs centered by a shaped apron and ending in ball-and-claw feet.
