1950s MInor League Baseball Letters

Item Details

A group of letters from the Thomas Gatts estate from his correspondence with various minor league baseball clubs and one Major League team. Mr. Gatts’s House of David jersey sold in January of 2016 through EBTH. His baseball career had him playing and managing minor league teams during the 1950s. The letters are as listed: Salem Senators (1954); Philadelphia Phillies (1952), signed by Joeseph Reardon; Cubs Scout Toy Lucadello (not signed), 1950; (2) National Association of Professional Baseball League, 1951, 1952, letters signed by George Trautman; Mt. Vernon Athletic Association, Inc., Illinois, 1954 signed by Zeke; (2) National Baseball Placement Bureau, 1953, signed by Lou Haneles; Elizebeth Athletic Club, Inc. (Appalachian League), Tennessee 1951; 1948 Springfield Enterprises, Inc. players contract; Williston Baseball Association, Inc. ‘The Oilers’ 1958, a players contract and seven letters, some signed by former Major League player Roy Weatherly; Jacksonville Baseball Club, 1954; Paupa Texa Club 1954 and some miscellaneous paper items, airplane tickets.
