Item Details

A Persian hand-knotted wool on cotton area rug attributed to the Nahavand region. There is a red lozenge field adorned with a central medallion in blue, pink, and red. To the corners are white spandrels with foliage and oversized leaves. Enclosing the field is a large alternating leaf and flower border with carnation guard borders. The sides have a red double-overcast selvage edge, and either end finishes with a short cotton fringe.
