Vintage to Antique Carved Wood Mantel Clock

A vintage to antique wood and metal mantel clock. This piece is housed in an arch-shaped frame fronted with an elaborate molded frontispiece, possibly depicting a dragon. The clock face is presented behind glass with visible pendulum works and a round dial featuring Roman numerals and what appear to be three hand-written Chinese characters in red. Underneath the Chinese characters are the initials M and C under a small bird emblem.
