Item Details

A Chippendale style writing desk by Sligh. The wooden, dark-stained frame features a rectangular top with molded, serpentine edges. It is inset with three dark brown leather panels, each of which has gold tone outlines. Directly below is a central drawer over an open leg compartment flanked by drawers with metal handles. The desk is further embellished with reeded quarter columns, paneled sides, and serpentine aprons. One drawer interior is marked by the manufacturer and the desk rises on acanthine, cabriole legs ending in ball-and-claw feet.
