Small Washstand with J. & G Meakin Bowl and Pitcher

A small washstand with J. & G. Meakin ceramic bowl and pitcher. The washstand has a mahogany frame, featuring an oval mirror to the top, two candle holders, two towel holders, barley twist supports, and circular base with turned feet. The bowl and pitcher each have a white glazed finish, marked ‘Ironstone China, J. & G. Meakin, Hanley, England’ to the undersides. The maker’s mark dates to circa 1890.

Condition

Consistent with age and use. Some minor surface scratches and wear on wood frame. Bowl and pitcher has some marks and dust.
