Chinese Inspired Hand Painted Box

Item Details

A Chinese inspired hand painted box. The oval wooden box and short lid have been painted with vignettes of elegantly dressed women on garden terraces, and flowers, on a vibrant red ground. There are handles on either side, and the whole rises on curving brass feet.

Condition

- some overall surface wear with loss and cracking to the paint; marks to the metal.
