Caucasian Hand-Knotted Kazak Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A Caucasian hand-knotted wool area rug attributed to the Kazak region. It features an abrashed red field with three central medallions in blue, ivory and red. Additionally adorning the field are four accent medallions, triangular motifs, and more. Enclosing the field is a leaf-and-wine border which is flanked by crenelated and barber pole guard borders. The sides have a few overcast selvage edges, and either end finishes with a short wool fringe.
