Offset Lithograph After Pyon Sang-pyok's "Myojakdo"
Item Details
An offset lithograph on paper titled Myojakdo (Painting of Cats and Sparrows) after Korean artist Pyon Sang-pyok (18th century). This piece features a group of sparrows perched in the branches of a tree and two cats below, one of which has started to climb the trunk of the tree while the other sits and watches from the ground. There are Korean characters printed in the upper right. The English title and artist’s name are given to the lower center. It is presented behind a double mat and glass in a frame that is wired for hanging.
Condition
- frame has surface wear; bottom right corner join of frame has separated.
