A power-loomed Gabbeh Collection area rug by the Sphinx Division of Oriental Weavers. This Egyptian-made Olefin rug is rendered in a graduated palette of rose, tangerine, saffron, mauve, pink, azure, and pale yellow. It features sybols and motifs borrowed from Turkish, Persian, and Caucasus tribes; these tribal elements are arranged over a field of graduating, mostly pastel, colors. Framing the field are three borders, including a primary border featuring tribal-inspired leaf-like motifs over graduating hues of tangerine and rose. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with wool fringe. It is labeled on the reverse.
