Selection of East Asian Objects

An assortment of East Asian objects. Included in this collection is a hardcover book of poems titled The Ganges Calls Me by author Yone Noguchi, published in 1938 by Kyobunkwan, and an unsigned watercolor and gouache painting of a nighttime riverscape, double-matted under glass in a brown frame with a wire for hanging. Also included is a Chinese ceramic plate with a black and yellow motif of flowers and winged creatures, with a block of Chinese text to the center and a red maker’s mark featuring a man in a hat to its underside.
Condition
- stain to upper right and throughout of painting; wear to frame of painting; small amount of wax residue to plate; damage and tears to paper and plastic dust covers; toning to pages of book; crack to front and back of book’s binding.
